“G-g-g-good-d-d-d m-m-m-morning-g-g p-p-passengers-s-s-s-s! P-P-pleas-s-se c-c-come d-d-dow-w-wn-n t-to th-the b-b-breakf-fast-t c-car!”

Several groans could be heard among the passenger cars. Seriously? The train was jittery like a constant earthquake and had been for 5 hours at least, yet Vera still wanted everybody to come for a meeting? Some of the passengers had trouble sleeping with the shaking. Others had trouble because the heaters were having a battle against the cold outside. The center of quilla contained a massive glacier, and the train was currently passing over it. The passengers slowly and carefully made their way out of their rooms (some dodging falling objects) and down the hallway.

This time, there was food when they got to the car, but there were no nice plates or candles. Instead, everything was in cheap plastic containers to avoid a mess.  The passengers opened their boxes to find... pancakes. And bacon. Oh, yeah, very Japanese. The booths were filled beyond normal capacity, and anybody antisocial unable to squeeze into one stood, not taking their chances with the jittery chairs.

Vera came in a bit late. The conductor was more graceful than most of the group had been, but bags were under her eyes. She must have been up so long in the chaos that she'd gotten used to walking in it. Her less-shaky voice only helped prove this. “S-Sorry for the m-minor t-technical d-difficult-ty! T-There was a s-sabotage of the t-train's stab-bilizers lat-te l-ast n-nig-ht! T-the w-wires w-were c-ut and t-tangled. T-the t-tech cr-rew i-is f-fixing-g i-it b-but o-one m-major c-cord w-was s-s-tolen! T-The r-replacm-ment w-was t-too!” Vera's voice grew more and more frustrated, thinking about how long it'd be till they could fix the problem unless somebody found the cord. “S-Sorry ag-gain!” She said before leaving the group to eat... as well as to another mystery...
~sharpshooter won last round, and as tradition goes got to help develop the mystery. He suggested damaged stabilizers and pancake day. It came out a little different from the original suggestion, but I hope it's okay all the same. ^^;

Key Points

- We're still in Quilla, atop a glacier now. There's probably less sea monsters able to take the cold, but all the same go outside at your own risk.

- Some of the cords were stolen. Does the culprit still have them? Did they hide them? Were they tossed off board? Has somebody been framed? Do you have another idea? There's a good prompt to start with if you need some direction.

-I have no idea how trains work and don't care if wires have nothing to do with stability. Battle City is MY WORLD. MY TRAIN. I could make the thing run by buring badfics if I wanted to. :P

-I won't minus points if you don't write all the dialog in your entry shaky and just say voices were shaking instead. Just this much was FRUSTRATING man. xD But yeah, the train should still be shaking when you start your mystery.
